MKIII Iron Armour is a heavily reinforced variant of the earlier Mark II power armour. Wherever Mark II saw extensive service, significant reserves of Mark III were often maintained alongside it. Even among Legions that favored later armour marks, Iron Armour remained indispensable for its intended role: heavy frontal assault. Designed for close-quarters combat, Mark III was most commonly deployed in ship-to-ship boarding actions and other Zones Mortalis, including underground fortress complexes, hive city depths, and tunnel arcologies.
